Those are good points. One thing that I did not communicate effectively is that I think the public relations work regarding NSTX-U missed a good opportunity to teach people about the US fusion research community. It seems to me that they should have adjusted the talking points to reflect the unique role NSTX-U fills in our combined effort. This is in my mind because I recently got to help prepare a press release for some GA/DIII-D work. When that comes out, I hope it conveys a sense of community contributions in addition to pointing out something cool that we did (spoiler: it will say that DIII-D is the largest facility in the US).
