| UCLA Football - Exciting for Most |
|
Today was an exciting night at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. UCLA versus Arizona State football. The strong UCLA team won. College football games are a lot of fun, whether you enjoy football or not (see the last picture). I think there were about 90,000 people at the game. Tailgating at the Rose Bowl occurs on a golf course. It must be a public course because they let cars park on the fairways. The greens are off limits, but I still would not want to have a tee time the day after a game. ![]() View from inside the Rose Bowl UCLA had a great team this year. The team was so good that the school newspaper ran a story about how sports merchandise sales were skyrocketing. Athletics works a little differently than physics; when a research group gets awarded a new grant no one goes out to buy Physics Department hats. The department does not have its own hat, but the point remains. ![]() The teams line up near midfield. This is a college game so there are bound to be people working in the stands. Here is a fan who manages to stay up to date on her reading assignments even while showing school spirit. ![]() Someone not particularly excited about the game. Tags: ucla football, rose bowl |
