| The Reason Plasma Physics is Difficult: Ghosts |

Reading through some plasma related blog postings the other day I found one that led to an interesting item about ghosts. This writing suggests that ghosts are manifested in the physical world through plasmas. The electromagnetic energy of the ghosts and those viewing the ghosts manipulates the surrounding air, ionizes it, and then forms the plasma into apparitions. Just after footnote 15, it reads, A ghost is a plasma formed when the percipient's electromagnetic field overlaps with the electromagnetic 'psychosphere' of the – often distant – agent and the combined field strength ionises the gas particles in the air.
The item was written in 2003 and I do not know whether any additional material has been generated. At first I thought I would write about all that is wrong with that theory, but then I realized it is a few years old and has probably already been picked at. There are plenty of people who bring down ghost stories with a swift swing of the skeptical hammer. As I thought about it more I could not help but to wonder whether this theory might be correct. After all, some very strange things have happened in the plasma lab. Plasma Lab Ghost Gallery![]() While it's nice to have help, he needs to learn that tools should be presented handle first! There was the time Casper helped me repair a Langmuir probe.
![]() After living in the lab for two months the sea monster was addicted to caffeine. Then that sea monster moved in under the machine.
![]() The worst part is that they have no concept of which equipment is the most expensive and should not be stood upon. And everyone remembers the day zombies took over the control room.
