July's Recommended Post: Diary of a Graduate Thesis Experiment
| Why do I get the message, "You are trying to access from a non-authorized domain." when downloading? |

This message will be shown when a visitor tries to download a file directly (i.e. without coming to the download page of DavidPace.com). Search engines do not know that this is the situation, however, so they provide direct links to the files. This is the same link that a visitor clicks on from the downloads section here. The downloads software package, however, checks to make sure that visitors are clicking on these links from within DavidPace.com. If a visitor follows one of these links from Google.com, then the download manager denies the connection and sends the visitor to the relevant download list. The good news is that by seeing this message you know you are now on the correct page. Simply log in, find the file you originally wanted, and then proceed with your download. |
