This is a collection of questions that have been asked in relation to the items concerning the Plasma Parameters Calculators (v3 and v4). Questions (sure, there is only one for now)Answers
There is no Vista Sidebar version directly available though it might be possible to make one yourself. I tried to make one, but without access to Vista it was impossible. Amnesty Widgets offers a free program that converts Google Gadgets into Vista Sidebar Gadgets. This program is found on the following page. Google suggests this program themselves. That conversion can only be performed if a Google Gadget version exists. There is a developing Google Gadget version of the plasma parameters widget at the following location: http://www.davidpace.com/plasma-params.xml. The Google Gadget is always in progress and is still equivalent to version 3.1 of the Plasma Parameters Widget. If you use Google Homepage, then that is the URL of the gadget to install it on your homepage. It is most likely the same input needed by the converter program to generate a Vista Sidebar Gadget. Only one person has tried this conversion so far and it did not work. There are many new conversion programs that allow people to convert their favorite websites and web pages into their own personal widget-like devices. It might be possible to convert the Online Calculator using one of these. |
